During my husband's absence due to his business trip to the U.S., I went to Korea to visit my best friends from college. Can you believe it has been 20 years since we have been friends? It is lucky for me they both are now in Korea. I'm trying to visit them as much as possible while they are there. Swoo may move to China, and Alena back to the U.S. within a few years. (Sob ; _ ; )
On Sep. 5, I flew to the Incheon Int'l Airport and Alena picked me up there. Richard was with her. He is a friend of Peter, Alena's husband. I have known Rich since we were in college. It's strange feeling to see people I know from college in the U.S. now in Korea after all years. Alena borrowed his car to pick me up. We drove to Seoul and dropped the car there and jumped in KTX, the express train to Daegu where Alena had moved to from Seoul this spring. Peter was on his vacation and cooked for us. We had BBQ ribs, chicken, steaks, cooked vegetables, beer and so on. It was delicious! I used Alena's daughter Christen's room. Kim's lived on post when they were in Seoul but they live in a Korean-style house outpost in Daegu. It's big and nice house. Alena's tein sons, Nicolas and Clinton liked snacks I brought from Japan. They are now sexteen years old. I've known them even before they were born. How fast time flies!
I will write about the next day later.
